PARISH RAMBLES

                                              NOVEMBER.

It first happened in 2007 – the cancellation of back-to-back rambles due to bad weather. It was in July and August, when you would least expect it. Guess what – it happened again this year and again it was in the summer, August and September.

The September ramble to Ironbridge and Coalport, which several of us were really looking forward to, was completely washed out so it will have to remain on the back burner until next year! Let’s hope that October’s walk was OK – watch this space next month! This month’s walk is on Saturday, November 22nd and will be around Kinver.

It will start at the lay-by car park by the old ‘Stewpony’ inn. To get there, make your way to Stourbridge and then follow the signs for Bridgnorth [A458]. When you get to The Stewpony crossroads, go straight over towards Bridgnorth and there is a lay-by immediately on your left. T

his is a popular parking spot for anglers and so, if it happens to be full, turn the car round, go back over the crossroads towards Stourbridge and there is a small service road on your left immediately you have gone over the crossroads and you can park there.

Assemble for a 1.30 p.m. start – drivers allow about 35 minutes. See Derek for further information or ring him on 429 8314. As an advanced warning, the Christmas ‘Fight-the-Flab’ walk on December 27th will start at 12.30 and not the usual 1.30!!!
