Baptism of infants, children and adults at St Hilda's

Are you interested in having your child christened?

Or maybe you are wanting to take a step of faith because you were never baptised as an infant?
Whatever your age or circumstance, you are never to young or too old to be baptised into the family of God.

At St Hilda's, we normally hold baptisms in the main Sunday service every fourth Sunday of the month. The service lasts about an hour and there are normally two or three children or adults being baptised.

Baptism is not a one-off event - it is the start of a journey of faith.
In a baptism service you make a public commitment to follow Christ and to become a member of God's church - either on behalf of your baby or, if you are able to speak for yourself.

St Hilda's church community is here to walk with you as a family or an individual in all the challenges and maturing of the Christian life.

If you would like to learn more, please contact the Vicar, Rev Paul Hinton.
You can phone 0121-429-1384 or email him at vicar@sainthildawarlevwoods.co.uk

Thanksgiving for the birth of a child

Perhaps you have just become a parent for the first time or you have had an addition to the family and you would like to thank God for their safe arrival but do not want, as yet, to make a strong commitment of faith through baptism.
Well, please get in touch with the Vicar, Rev Paul Hinton, to see what we can do for you. A thanksgiving service can be held at St Hilda's as an intimate event for a small group of gathered family and friends. Or it can be held at your home instead.
