                                     at St Hilda's

                                                   Congratulations!

St Hilda's is a popular building for weddings in the Warley Woods area. But we offer more than just a church to host your big day.
We are here to help you plan the service and also to help you think about your life ahead together. We are here for the journey of life, not just life's highlights.

If you want to know more about getting married at St Hilda's then get in touch with
the Vicar, Rev Paul Hinton.
You can phone 0121-429-1384 or by email vicar@sainthildawarleywoods.co.uk.

If you are concerned at this stage about cost, it might help you to know that in 2010 the fee to get married at St Hilda's is £500 (or £435 if you would prefer just to have an organist without the choir).

We also love to offer special services for couples who would like to renew the marriage vows at an anniversary or important stage in their life together.

And the Vicar at St Hilda's is also happy to talk to people who are wanting to get married for a second time following a divorce.

One couple’s story
                                             Our Wedding Day

When I was getting married I felt so right and felt so natural. I felt so calm and relaxed it so right I was getting married to the one I love. I felt that in the church. I was over the moon by all the support we had and we couldn’t thank people enough for their support on our big day. I didn’t feel nervous at all when I was in the church. I felt it was our time to shine.

I liked the service. It felt like we was a part of it because we picked all our own music and hymns. We even had my cousin sing songs for us which was special to us. Also they made us feel comfortable. And I liked the part of service when Paul talked about us and about the Greek tradition of people getting married being king and queen for the day, which I did feel like. It was amazing that everyone including the kids and babies felt part of the service. In short time we knew Paul it felt like we had known him for along time. It was like he knew us as a couple and it made us feel welcome and special.

I always wanted to get married in St Hilda's church because when I was a little girl I was a Brownie and a Guide. So I was always around the church. Also a big reason was because of my family history; a lot of my family got married at St Hilda's.

I felt at home at St Hilda’s church. We couldn’t thank Paul enough and thank you to all the people at St Hilda's church for all their support with us and making us feel at home. It is a beautiful church with the most helpful people who take time to see you and help you with any issues you have. Anyone who is getting married I highly recommend you get married at St Hilda's church where I felt at home and a member of the family.
