The first walk of 2016 will be a fairly local walk around the Churchill Pools and will take place on Saturday, 16th January. To get to the start, follow the A456 towards Kidderminster. Go down Hagley Hill and, when you come to the large roundabout just past the traffic lights, go almost all the way round and leave at the fifth exit [the one just past the war memorial]. Go down the hill to the traffic lights and continue straight ahead. Go over the railway at Hagley station and continue past the two schools, one on each side of the road. Go straight ahead when you see roads to right and left; you are now in a dead-end lane. After passing a row of houses you will come to the point where the Monarch’s Way long-distance path crosses the lane [you will see the green footpath signs clearly]. This is where the walk will start, so park on the side of the lane and assemble for a 12.30 p.m. start. Drivers, allow about 30 minutes.

Saturday, 11th June. 11.00 a.m. Newnham Bridge [all-day walk].

Saturday, 9th July. 10.00 a.m. Sponsored Ramble – Arrow Valley.

Saturday, 6th August. 1.30 p.m. Cleeve Hill.

Saturday, 3rd September 1.30 p.m. Coton-in-the-Elms/National Forest.

Saturday, 15th October 1.30 p.m. Martley apple orchards.

Saturday, 26th November 12.30 p.m. Aston Fields and Tardebigge.
